Judy Cherry was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999. When she was diagnosed she figured she only had 2 years to live and decided she wanted to make a difference in those two years. On the anniversary of her fifth year of survival she realized she had done nothing to make a difference and committed to walk in the 2-Day Marathon Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. In 2006 she decided to walk in all 8 Avon Breast Cancer Walk Events, challenging herself to raise close to $15,000. To achieve that goal, she developed the idea of Dining Out for a Cure. She has continued to walk all 2-Day Avon Breast Cancer Walk events and even one in the United Kingdom to raise awareness that this is a global epidemic. Dining Out for a Cure continues to be a huge success and now Avon walkers participating in Dining Out for a Cure events all across the nation have begun to add their events. To learn more contact
